This tense is used to describe an action that took place in the past. To conjugate a verb in simple past tense, add the suffix that correlates the subject to the verb. The following is a list of the subject-pronouns and the related suffixes connected to the root/gerund form of a verb in order to produce simple past tense.
Exceptions: He/she, that, this takes root of the verb.
